Space Force Association launches Committee on Women in Space

Dr. Lois Wardell, a geoscientist by training and currently a Senior Space Test Engineer, has been named by the Space Force Association (SFA) to lead a new committee focused on Women in Space (WiS). She has worked over a decade on unmanned systems, and her doctoral research was originally funded in part by NASA. She hopes her work in this new role will help women throughout the space industry. One of the goals of the program is to offer mentorship to young women who may be considering a career in space… or as a Space Force Guardian. Membership in the SFA is open to civilians.
