bailey burns
Bailey Burns is an Aerospace Systems Engineer in Tucson, AZ at Paragon Space Development Corporation where she focuses on Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) for spacecraft and spacesuits. She has her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Business and Economics ('18) and her M.S. in Space Resources ('21) both from the Colorado School of Mines. Burns is an analog astronaut with HI-SEAS where she spent two weeks in a simulated Moon base exploring lava tubes in Hawaii partnered with NASA Goddard. With her eye on the Moon, she is interested in life support, both environmental and crew cohesion-based. She has completed SpaceKind2 and is now a lead TA for all SpaceKind space development cohorts. Burns is passionate about STEM and space outreach. In her free time, she also enjoys martial arts, scuba diving, snowboarding, and hiking.
