Who Is Anna Menon? The SpaceX Engineer on Polaris Dawn

Anna Menon, SpaceX Engineer and Polaris Dawn Crewmember

Who Is Anna Menon? She is a SpaceX engineer, who is one of the crew members of the space mission named Polaris Dawn. Married to NASA astronaut candidate and former SpaceX medical director Anil Menon, Anna has many successes under her belt. She is the Lead Space Operations Engineer and manages the development of crew operations at SpaceX. Previously, she worked at NASA for seven years as a biomedical flight controller for the International Space Station. When she was 11-years-old her teacher took her on a field trip to Johnson Space Center of NASA, an experience that set her, a young girl, on the path of math and engineering. Now the Polaris program, funded by billionaire Jared Isaacman (who also funded the Inspiration4 mission in 2021) will include three human spaceflight missions to demonstrate technology, conduct research, and culminate in the first flight of SpaceX’s Starship with humans on board. Menon is scheduled to fly aboard the first mission, Polaris Dawn, aboard a Dragon capsule in late 2022.
